Promises like pie-crust

One lunch hour, Bjorn and myself discussed over pesto pasta (say 10 times without stammering) a conspiracy theory blog that we both have been wanting to begin, particularly on the United States military forward strategy in the Philippines.

Bjorn: But what about harvesting death threats as a result?
Louella: That’s what pseudonyms are for.
Bjorn: But our IP addresses will betray us anyway.

So we resolved to just blog about poetry and travels.

Speaking of travels, I blew my Thailand-Cambodia money off on impulsive purchases of overpriced off-the-shoulder sweatshirts and faux zebra ballet slips.

So the Osmach train ride may have to wait for another summer.

Money issues are lame cake.

Some boy-neighbor who lives eight or so houses away introduced himself one annoyingly sunny morning. He thought that a two minute acquaintanceship with me was enough to launch an awkward topic:  some ex-boyfriend who, he happily announced, is a beer buddy of his.

Boy-neighbor: He said you went out…
Louella: Yes, we did. About ten million years ago. And besides, it’s a relationship I had when I was a retarded jail bait so it doesn’t count.
Boy-neighbor: …

bye bye lover

bye bye lover

I scorn discussions on my past relationships. Once it’s over, it’s over, end of story.

I just don’t know how to look back.
